Josh Allen began his college football career at Reedley College. Eventually, he was recruited to join the Wyoming Cowboys football team. In 2 seasons as the Wyoming Cowboys starting quarterback, Allen threw for over 5,000 yards, ran for over 750 yards and scored a combined 56 touchdowns. He also set the school record for most total touchdowns in a season (35), putting himself in a tie with Randy Welniak and Josh Wallwork.
The Buffalo Bills selected Josh Allen with the 7th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Allen had a promising preseason but found himself second on the depth chart. However, he appeared in his first-ever NFL game against the Baltimore Ravens in relief of Nathan Peterman.
Josh Allen would start 11 games for the Buffalo Bills, compiling 2,074 passing yards and 631 rushing yards. Allen would score 10 passing touchdowns and 8 rushing touchdowns. Allen set the NFL record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a 3 game span and is the first quarterback to rush fo rat least 95 yards in three consecutive games. Allen also set a handful Buffalo Bills records including most rushing yards by a quarterback in a single season and most total touchdowns by a rookie.
