Khalil Mack played college football at the University of Buffalo. Mack holds the all-time NCAA record for forced fumbles and is tied for the NCAA record for tackles for loss. Mack was named the 2013 MAC Defensive Player of the Year in his final season with the Buffalo Bulls. Through four seasons with the Buffalo Bulls, Mack amassed 28.5 sacks, 75 tackles for loss and 327 total tackles. He wore number 46 in college as that was the overall rating given to him in EA Sports' college football video game, NCAA Football 11.

Khalil Mack was drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Oakland Raiders. He became the first and only player selected in the first round out of the University of Buffalo.

After an outstanding rookie season, Khalil Mack was a contender for NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Although he wouldn't win the award, analysts on ESPN's NFL Live named him as their Defensive Rookie of the Year. Mack became just the second player (Lawrence Taylor) in NFL history to make the AP All-Pro First Team at two positions in the same year.

The Oakland Raiders did not always find success as a team but Khalil Mack remained one of football's most dominant defensive players. He was ranked as the 16th best player by his peers on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2018.

The Oakland Raiders chose not to re-sign Khalil Mack to a new contract and traded him to the Chicago Bears on September 1, 2018. Mack became an immediate impact player for the Chicago Bears defense, becoming the first player to record a sack and a forced fumble in four straight games since Indianapolis Colts' star Robert Mathis did it in 2005.

Khalil Mack recorded 12.5 sacks in his first season with the Chicago Bears, the most sacks by a Bears player since Richard Dent in 1993. Mack earned another Pro Bowl nod and graded out as a 90.7 from Pro Football Focus, the second-highest grade among all qualifying edge defenders.

Thus far into his career, Khalil Mack has proven to be an unstoppable force on defense and a true game-changer.
