UA NFL Mock Draft 3.0: Picks 1-10

The 2022 NFL Draft is just a few weeks away! Although we are typically known for our sports mystery boxes, specifically our NFL Mystery Boxes, we also like to dabble in things outside of autographed jerseys and signed mini helmets. So without further ado, here are picks 1-10 of our 2022 mock draft!

1. Jacksonville Jaguars - Aidan Hutchinson, Defensive End - Michigan

This pick has seemingly changed 6 times but right now it really looks like the Jags will take a defensive player 1st overall. Hutchinson might not be the physical freak that some of the other EDGE players in this class, but the kid is extremely relentless and his production speaks for itself.

2. Detroit Lions - Kayvon Thibodeaux, Defensive End - Oregon

At this point there is a lot of smoke about Malik Willis going at 2 overall, but with Dan Campbell’s style, building through the trenches seems more likely. This athletic freak has seen his stock fall in many mocks lately, but he seems too talented to fall outside the top 5.

3. Houston Texans - Ikem Ekwonu, Offensive Tackle - N.C. State

Ekwonu has been flying up people’s boards, and it’s for good reason. This kid is an absolute tank. This pick allows the Texans to give another year to Mills to see if he can be the guy. If not they will have a high draft pick next season and use that on a much better QB class.

4. New York Jets - George Karlaftis, Defensive End - Purdue

Karlaftis did very well at his pro day and many think that the mauler from Purdue could have himself drafted inside the top 10. In this mock we not only have him going top 10, but top 10 to a defense that could sorely use some top end play makers.

5. New York Giants - - Travon Walker, EDGE - Georgia

When the draft process began, Walker was a fringe 1st round player. Now there is talk that he could go number 1 overall. While we believe that is a tad far fetched, we do believe that he could be an incredible EDGE defender for a Giants defense taht could be sneaky good in 2022.

6. Carolina Panthers - Malik Willis, Quarterback - Liberty

With how he performed in the Senior Bowl and the combine, Willis has really elevated his stock. Previously, it looked like a real possibility that no quarterback would go top 10, now Willis seems like a lock. Add in that he could sit a year behind Darnold and that’s a great scenario for him.

7. New York Giants (via Chicago Bears)  Evan Neal, Offensive Tackle - Alabama
Despite Andrew Thomas playing better in year 2 than in year 1, this Giants offensive line is still a major concern. Offensive wiz Brain Daboll is now the new HC and could use someone like Green to help protect Jones and Barkley.

8. Atlanta Falcons - Kyle Hamilton, Safety - Notre Dame

Hamilton is the definition of “built different”. At 6’4 and 220 lbs he has the frame of a linebacker and the speed of a corner. Any defense would be lucky to have this kid.

9.Denver Broncos - Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner, Cornerback - Cincinnati

Gardner recently took to social media to declare that he believed he was the best player in this class. While many will see that as cocky, there’s actually a real chance that he isn't wrong. This lanky defender didn’t allow a single receiving touchdown against him his entire career. Actions speak louder than words. Also pairing him with last year’s 1st round selection Ronald Darby would instantly make Denver a “No Fly Zone”.

10. New York Jets (via Seattle Seahawks) - Garret Wilson, Wide Receiver - Ohio State

Zach Wilson improved greatly as the season progressed.  The Jets could help him by getting offensive line earlier in the draft, but now it’s time to get some playmakers. Garrett Wilson is an extremely refined receiver and has the explosiveness to make the impossible catches. This offense could be ascending soon.
