30. Tre’Davious White - Cornerback, Buffalo Bills
The Bills defense is getting some help this coming season, but still the unquestioned on-field leader of this group is White. He missed some time in 2021, but he should be fully healthy for the 2022 season.
29. Budda Baker - Safety, Arizona Cardinals
Sadly, when Baker’s name is spoken, most casual fans can only think of DK Metcalf chasing him down from behind during the 2020 season. Despite that unfortunate footnote, Baker has been one of the most feared safeties in the league over the past 2 seasons.
28. Fred Warner - Inside Linebacker, San Fransisco 49ers
This karate expert is a fascinating guy on and off of the field. The inside man for the intimidating 49ers offense is more than just a leader, he makes plays sideline to sideline.
27. Jonathan Taylor - Running Back, Indianapolis Colts
Overall, the running back position has been a bit devalued at the NFL level. However, ask any fantasy football player how good Jonathan Taylor is and it will not take long for them to respond with something like “He’s the best RB in the game”.
26. Justin Herbert - Quarterback, LA Chargers
It is difficult to imagine, but Justin Herbert is only getting better. After winning offensive rookie of the year in 2020, he followed it up in 2021 with over 5,000 yards and 38 touchdowns.
25. Nick Bosa, Defensive End, San Fransisco 49ers
The hyped had died down a bit since his DROY trophy in 2019 and his ensuing injury in 2020, but Nick Bosa posted an absurd 15.5 sacks in 2022 and now over a full year removed from the injury that kept him out all of 2021, the best is yet to come.
24. Terron Armstead - Tackle, Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins made a lot of moves in the offseason, perhaps none bigger than landing former New Orleans tackle, Terron Armstead. Tua should now finally have the protection he needs to be a playoff level QB.
23. David Bakhtiari - Tackle, Green Bay Packers
Injuries have gotten the better of him lately, but Bakhtiari is still one of the best left tackles in the game.
22. Micah Parsons - Linebacker/Edge - Dallas Cowboys
Everyone knew coming out of the draft that Parsons was a freak athlete. However, no one could have guessed how quickly he would adapt to the NFL game and make himself a DPOY candidate no matter if he line up inside, outside or rush end.
21. Tyrann Matheiu - Safety, New Orleans Saints
The newly acquired Matheiu is back home in the bayou. The former LSU Tiger has spent many seasons on many different teams, but this will obviously feel different.
