The Best Memes of the College Football 2019 National Championship Game

The Clemson Tigers throttled the Alabama Crimson Tide in the 2019 National Championship game. Considering the game got out of hand and was pretty one-sided, we're thankful the Internet was there to pick us up.

Trevor Lawrence threw for nearly 350 yards with 3 touchdowns while Travis Etienne lead the way on the ground with 86 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns.

Clemson WR Justyn Ross had the game of his life, going off for 153 yards on just 6 receptions against the Crimson Tide defense in primetime.

The game started off fairly competitv but after the first quarter, the Tigers took over. The underdogs mounted a 30-3 scoring run in the second and third quarter to erase any doubt as to who was the best team in college football this year.

Here are some of the best memes and posts we've seen from last night's game and.. ahem... interesting halftime show.

The game got off to a horrible start for the Crimson Tide as the Tigers picked off a Tua Tagovailoa pass and ran it back for a defensive touchdown on 'Bama's first drive.

This referee probably felt like he was in the Matrix as he avoided a Tua Tagovailoa pass early on.

The Tigers QB's last name might be Lawrence but it's hard to argue that he might as well put "Sunshine" on the back of his jersey.

As ESPN's Rece Davis was preparing to hand the National Championship trophy to Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney, Christian Wilkins decided now would be the perfect time to give his coach a wet willy.

Lawrence earned the offensive MVP award for the game and looked like he had been waiting way too long for that extra hot coffee.

Tigers players Christian Wilkins and Clelin Ferrell gave one of the best recruiting lines by giving us a Suge Knight impression

Lawrence still has 2 more years of playing college football but that doesn't mean NFL scouts aren't already putting him on their future draft boards.

It looks like Clemson Tigers fans unanimously voted to keep Drake off their bandwagon. We can only hope he makes a diss track on a future album about this.

The halftime show was interesting to say the least. Not only was it an hour away from where the actual game was being played, it featured Lil Wayne in an outfit that can only be described as "weird flex, but okay."
