The 2019 Pro-Bowl teams were announced Tuesday night with multiple Chicago Bears being named to the roster.  Five Chicago Bears players were named to the Pro-Bowl, four from the defense and one from the offense. Khalil Mack, Kyle Fuller, Eddie Jackson, Akiem Hicks, and Tarik Cohen will represent Chicago on January 27th in Orlando, Florida.

Four of five players were named to their first Pro-Bowl, while Mack was named to his fourth consecutive Pro-Bowl team. Hicks was named to the roster after being snubbed last season following his team-leading eight and a half sacks.

The two have combined for 18.5 sacks and are one and two in sacks for the team.Fuller and Jackson will represent the Bears secondary as the two have combined for 13 interceptions. Jackson could possibly be named an All-Pro as he has three defensive return touchdowns in 2018. Chicago leads the NFL in interceptions as they have 25 through 14 games, five of which have been returned for touchdowns.

Cohen is the first Bears running back to be named to the Pro-Bowl since Matt Forte in 2013. He leads the team with 68 receptions and 710 receiving yards. Cohen has seven total touchdowns and has 1115 total scrimmage yards.

It marks the first time since 2013 that the Bears will be represented on both defense and offense in the game. The five selections is also the most the team has had since 2012 when they had five players named.

It’s an added reward to the division title the team won on Sunday beating the Packers. Chicago is now back in the playoffs and now will be represented in NFL’s marquee game for their best players.
