Julio Jones and Atlanta Falcons Close to Contract Extension

Julio Jones is "closing in" on a contract extension with the Atlanta Falcons per Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman. According to Freeman, the contract will pay Jones $20 million annually and include $50-60 million in guaranteed money. The future Hall of Famer WR declined to show up before training camp due to concerns over his contract and it appears the Falcons are looking lock up their star WR.

Josh Allen a Target for New York Jets at No. 3 in the NFL Draft

ESPN's Rich Cimini reported "most believe" the New York Jets will select Kentucky OLB Josh Allen with the No. 3 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. Of course, that's dependent on the Jets staying at No. 3 and not trading back as some of the QB-needy teams have been rumored to be looking to trade up in the NFL Draft. Allen and Nick Bosa are widely considered the top two pass rushers in the NFL Draft and are expected to be drafted early in the first round.

Jay Glazer Heard Rumblings of the Kansas City Chiefs Looking to Trade Tyreek Hill Earlier this Offseason

The Athletic's Jay Glazer reports there were "some rumblings" that the Chiefs were looking to move Tyreek Hill earlier this offseason. This is before the situation surrounding Hill and his alleged battery against his child made headlines last week. Glazer was spot on with his bold prediction of Odell Beckham Jr. getting traded, so it's interesting he mentioned the Chiefs possibly looking to move their star WR.

Matt Miller Highlights Two Names Moving Up Draft Boards

Bleacher Report's Matt Miller highlighted two names that appear to be rising up the ranks on NFL teams' draft boards. Miller believes there is serious talk that Central Michigan CB Sean Bunting could be a top-40 selection. Miller also reported Stanford LB Bobby Okereke has become one of the hottest names in the draft. Miller added the biggest surprise of the week was the positive reviews and hype surrounding West Virginia QB Will Grier.

Jachai Polite Tumbling Down NFL Draft Boards

In the same write-up, Matt Miller also reports one scout told Miller that Florida edge-rusher Jachai Polite "might not even go in the second round. It's bad, man." Polite reportedly did terrible in his team interviews at the NFL Scouting Combine and has seen his draft stock fall dramatically. Polite was believed to be a fringe first-round pick but that seemingly isn't the case now.
