The NFL offseason is in full swing and there's no shortage of NFL news to follow. Stay up to date with the latest happenings across the NFL with Ultimate Autographs.
New York Jets Open to Trade No. 3 Overall Pick in NFL Draft
New York Jets GM Mike Maccagnan is making it clear the Jets are open for business in regards to the No. 3 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft.
"Not to say we're committed to doing it," Maccagnan told the New York Post. "But we'd definitely be very intrigued by that."
The Jets would almost certainly be getting calls from teams looking to snag either Kyler Murray or Dwayne Haskins at the No. 3 spot. If the Jets stay put at No. 3, the team is in prime position to draft a defensive playmaker like Nick Bosa, Josh Allen or Devin White among others.
New York Giants Pat Shurmur Wants to Find Eli Manning's Successor Soon
Per Ralph Vacchiano, New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur would like to find Eli Manning's successor "sooner rather than later" and would prefer the QB learn under Manning for a year before taking over. The Giants have been rumored to select Dwayne Haskins in the upcoming NFL Draft but talk of the Giants passing on a QB in the first round has also cropped up recently. Regardless of when the Giants take a QB, the point is the team needs to find someone to take over for a declining Eli Manning.

Seattle Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin Undergoing Third Surgery
Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll confirmed Seahawks WR Doug Baldwin will undergo sports hernia surgery next month, per Bob Condotta. Carroll was unable to provide a time table for Baldwin's return but it is Baldwin's third surgery after undergoing operations for his knee and shoulder. Limited by injuries last season, Baldwin managed just 50 receptions and 618 receiving yards.
Carroll said Doug Baldwin will have sports hernia surgery April 4, as earlier reported. Carroll gave no real ETA for when Baldwin will be healthy other than to say he has some challenges to overcome to get healthy.

Ex-Dolphins Coach Tried to Trade for Matthew Stafford Last Season
The Miami Herald reports ex-Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase tried to acquire Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford before last season. Gase reached out to his friend, new Lions head coach Matt Patricia, to inquire about Stafford's availability. Ultimately the talks didn't move anywhere but it's interesting to note the Dolphins were already trying to move on from Ryan Tannehill before last season.
Oakland Raiders Head Coach Jon Gruden 'Cried for 3 Days' After Trading Khalil Mack
Jon Gruden said he "cried for 3 days after trading [Khalil] Mack," per Vic Tafur. Gruden added, "But we're not able to get Antonio Brown, Trent Brown and Lamarcus Joyner without making that trade." Gruden was widely mocked (rightfully so) for trading a defensive playmaker like Mack but he's attempting to add more talent to a roster that needs it.
