Jacksonville Jaguars Executive Vice President Tom Coughlin Still Believes in Leonard Fournette

After publically ripping Fournette following the regular season finale and attempting to void Fournette's guaranteed money, it's a positive sign that Coughlin (and the Jaguars) are backing their franchise star. The two parties reportedly met in January to "clear the air" which would appear to be the case with Coughlin's public vote of confidence.

"He does have some things he’s got to prove when he comes back about his preparation," Coughlin said. "But he’s a young, young player, he loves football, had an outstanding year, had a very disappointing year, and I think he wants to -- we want him to be a great player and I think he’s in the same mindset."  (via ESPN)

ESPN "Courting" Peyton Manning for Monday Night Football

The Hollywood Reporter indicates ESPN is "courting" former NFL star Peyton Manning to be in the Monday Night Football broadcast booth. Manning an ESPN reportedly met last week. The Carolina Panthers have signed DE Bruce Irvin to a one-year deal. The Panthers needed to replace the retiring Julius Peppers and departing Wes Horton on the defensive line. Irvin is a solid addition to a team lacking pass rushers. He recorded 6.5 sacks while playing for the Oakland Raiders and Atlanta Falcons last season.

Bucky Brooks Projects Rashan Gary to the New York Giants

The NFL.com analyst predicts the New York Giants will take former Michigan Wolverines star Rashan Gary with the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL Draft. It's interesting to see this prediction considering most believe the Giants will pick former Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins or another QB. But the team has been very supportive of Eli Manning starting until he retires, so perhaps the team will look elsewhere in the NFL Draft.
