Football Hall of Famer and Minnesota Vikings legend Cris Carter is appearing and will signing and autographing!
This event also features former and current Vikings stars such as Scott Studwell, Anthony Carter, EJ Henderson, Kevin Williams, Bud Grant, Holton Hill, and Stephen Weatherly.
Cris Carter started his profession in football while going to Ohio State University. In his first year, Carter set a Rose Bowl record with nine receptions for 172 yards. After his junior season, he became the Buckeyes' first wide receiver to earn All-American honors. Despite sitting out his senior year, Carter left as the Buckeyes' all-time leader in receptions (168), He was later selected as a member of the Ohio State Football All-Century Team. He also was inducted into the Ohio State Varsity Hall of Fame.
In the '90s, Carter's NFL career rose to prominence. He became the Vikings team lead wide receiver during much of the early to mid-90s. In 1993, Carter began a streak of eight-consecutive years with over 1,000 receiving yards. Carter also secured 90 touchdown receptions in the same time.
When Carter retired he had 1,101 career receptions and 130 touchdowns as a receiver; this placed him second in NFL history behind Jerry Rice. He is one of only 14 players to have over 1,000 receptions during a football career.
Carter was named in the NFL's 1990s All-Decade Team. He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame along with Bill Parcells, Larry Allen, Jonathan Ogden, Warren Sapp, Curley Culp, and Dave Robinson in 2013.
