Stephen Curry went to Davidson, a school no major program recruited him to out of high school, and left as the player who dragged them to an Elite Eight run in 2008. The Golden State Warriors took him seventh overall in the 2009 NBA Draft.
What followed changed how basketball is played. Curry is the NBA's all-time leader in three-pointers made, passing Ray Allen in December 2021 and extending the record every season since. He won back-to-back MVP awards in 2015 and 2016, and the 2016 award was the first unanimous MVP vote in league history.
Curry has four NBA championships with Golden State, in 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2022, and he was named Finals MVP in 2022. He added an Olympic gold medal with Team USA in 2024.
