Dak Prescott played college football for the Mississippi State Bulldogs where he was a two-time first-team All-SEC quarterback. Prescott helped lead the Bulldogs to their first-ever number 1 rank in college football during his first season as a starter. He set numerous records while playing quarterback for the Bulldogs.

The Dallas Cowboys selected Dak Prescott with the 135th pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. After initially being buried on the Cowboys depth chart, Prescott eventually became the Cowboy's starting quarterback after an injury to Tony Romo. Prescott became just the fourth Dallas Cowboys rookie quarterback to be the team's starter in Week 1 of the regular season. Prescott was selected to the Pro Bowl and was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Prescott was also ranked as the 14th best player by his peers in the NFL Top 100 Players of 2017.

Dak Prescott has led the Dallas Cowboys to a winning record in each of his NFL seasons, including a playoff birth in two out of his first three years. Prescott has thrown for over 3,000 yards, at least 22 passing touchdowns and at least 6 rushing touchdowns in each of his first three seasons with the Cowboys.

The Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback has set numerous NFL and Cowboys franchise records including most consecutive passing attempts without an interception (NFL record), most completions/passing yards/passing touchdowns for a Cowboys rookie and set the NFL record for a rookie as he posted 11 games with a passer rating over 100.
